Hutch supports Rhythm World Onstage 2017

Hutch, the country’s fastest growing mobile broadband telecommunications company came forward as the Principal Sponsor for “Rhythm World Onstage” season 1 conducted by TNL Radio Network.

The Rhythm World Onstage is the first attempt by a radio network in Sri Lanka that was set up as a Sinhala talent show focusing on promoting and providing a platform to aspiring musical bands.

Upcoming bands from across the island came forward to display their talent on a common platform.

Hutch Sri Lanka, Chief Executive Officer, Thirukumar Nadarasa disclosed, “Hutch has always endeavoured to support local talent, empowering the youth of the country by working together with events such as Rhythm World Onstage.


Hutch constantly drives the aspirations of young people and this partnership is another effort to further uplift the talent of Sri Lanka”.

From over 200 entries received from all over the island, 5 lucky bands made it to the finals and performed at an open concert at Mile Post Ground in Katunayake witnessed by a large gathering. Apart from the finalists the event saw a number of popular local bands also perform live for the audience.
