HNB FINANCE presents winner of ‘Methbara Kathandara’ with exclusive prizes

Businesscafe - HNB FINANCE PLC, one of Sri Lanka’s leading finance companies, has presented the winner of the company's first Vesak digital program 'Methbara Kathandara' with exclusive prizes.

Kumari Molligoda Herath was awarded first place among the creators who wrote an exemplary short story in collaboration with this program which was launched through digital mediums to mark Vesak Poya Day.

In addition to HNB FINANCE’s annual ‘Ape Gedara Avurudu’ celebrations, the institution’s first digital Vesak celebration ‘Methbara Kathandara’ had also garnered great interest and participation amongst customers.

A vast number of short stories were entered into the competition, out of which the best short story was awarded, and recreated graphically and shared in video format across HNB FINANCE’s social media platforms.

Commenting on this initiative, the Head of Marketing, HNB FINANCE PLC, Udara Gunasinghe stated that,

“‘Methbara Kathandara’ is the latest addition to a series of digital events launched by HNB FINANCE to celebrate special occasions in Sri Lanka.

This particular digital programme is aimed at Vesak Poya day, and was launched with an objective of reminding and reiterating the true essence and values of the Buddhist philosophy.”
