Sri Lanka has etched its name into the global fitness arena with a landmark victory at HYROX Bangalore 2026, securing its first-ever first-place medal on a HYROX platform while delivering a powerful multi-podium performance that signals the nation’s rising dominance in functional fitness.

Leading the charge, Yohan Rathnayake and Trevin Reid stormed to 1st place in the Men’s Doubles category, overcoming an intensely competitive field of over 8,200 athletes representing more than 50 countries.

Adding to the nation’s triumph, Shamara Rahim and Tuwani Wijesundara delivered an equally inspiring performance, clinching second place in the Women’s Doubles category—the first podium finish for Sri Lankan women in a HYROX competition.
