Softlogic Life Pioneers AI Powered Corporate Reporting Making Information More Accessible to All

Softlogic Life has once again raised the bar for corporate reporting in Sri Lanka with the launch of its 2025 Annual Report, themed “BIG MOVES, BIG IMPACT”, introducing Sri Lanka’s first five-part AI-powered intelligence ecosystem designed to make corporate information smarter, simpler and more accessible to all stakeholders.

The new ecosystem brings together AI-Optimised Annual Intelligence Report, “Lifey” Predictive Intelligence Analyser, Adaptive Intelligence Engine, Annual Report Audio Intelligence and Stakeholder Sentiment Intelligence.

Together, these capabilities transform the Annual Report from a conventional, static publication into an interactive, personalised, multilingual and participatory intelligence platform, enabling stakeholders not only to access information, but also to explore, interpret and engage with it in ways relevant to their individual needs.

Softlogic Life has consistently challenged conventional approaches to corporate reporting, using technology and innovation to improve the way stakeholders engage with financial, strategic and sustainability information.

By combining verified source connectivity, predictive analysis, personalised reporting, multilingual audio and structured stakeholder feedback, Softlogic Life is moving corporate reporting beyond disclosure towards intelligence, accessibility and meaningful stakeholder dialogue.

The Company’s leadership in reporting has also received significant recognition.

At the 60th CA TAGS Awards 2025, Softlogic Life secured a prestigious Top 3 position among Sri Lanka’s leading corporates, becoming the only stand-alone company to achieve this distinction for five consecutive years.

The Company received the Silver Award for Overall Excellence in Corporate Reporting, together with five other distinguished accolades.

For Softlogic Life, innovation in reporting extends beyond technology.

It is about strengthening trust, democratizing access to information and enabling stakeholders to make better-informed decisions.

The AI-Optimised Annual Intelligence Report has been designed for a world in which investors, analysts, researchers and other stakeholders increasingly use AI assistants, large language models and digital financial platforms to discover and analyse corporate information.

Through an open, industry-standard connection using Model Context Protocol (MCP), external AI systems can connect directly with the Annual Report and retrieve verified information from the source.

“Lifey”, Softlogic Life’s Predictive Intelligence Analyser, takes stakeholder engagement beyond conventional search.

Users can interact with the Annual Report by typing or speaking questions and receive clear, contextual responses that can also be read aloud.

Supporting more than 70 languages, Lifey is designed to make complex corporate information accessible to a significantly wider audience.

Beyond information retrieval, Lifey provides predictive insights into the direction of key financial indicators through easy-to-understand visualisations.

It can also provide context on developments within Sri Lanka’s life insurance industry and highlight relevant market trends, growth areas and emerging opportunities.

Lifey further connects artificial intelligence with sustainability awareness by presenting the estimated environmental footprint of each AI interaction, including energy, water and carbon usage.

The Adaptive Intelligence Engine changes the traditional concept of a one-size-fits-all Annual Report by allowing stakeholders to create a version tailored to their own requirements.

Users can select from six stakeholder perspectives investor, customer, community including students, employee, supplier or general reader and choose the topics and financial indicators most relevant to them.

They can also determine the report’s length, writing style and level of analytical depth.

Personalised outputs can be generated as a PDF, PowerPoint presentation or audio report in 10 languages, including Sinhala and Tamil.

Annual Report Audio Intelligence extends accessibility beyond the written report by transforming key financial, strategic and sustainability information into a series of AI-generated audio episodes.

Available in 10 languages, the feature allows stakeholders to engage with Softlogic Life’s performance and strategic direction wherever they are

The fifth component, Stakeholder Sentiment Intelligence, turns corporate reporting into a two-way engagement platform.

Stakeholders can identify their role, provide ratings on areas such as readability, clarity, ease of navigation and usefulness of AI-enabled features, and recommend areas for improvement.

AI then analyses the collective feedback to identify stakeholder sentiment, expectations and emerging areas of interest.

Nuwan Withanage, Chief Financial Officer of Softlogic Life, said:

“Corporate reporting can no longer be a retrospective exercise.

It must enable stakeholders to understand not only where we have been, but where we are going, what is driving that direction and why it matters.

At Softlogic Life, our AI-powered intelligence ecosystem represents a fundamental shift in how we think about reporting transforming information into intelligence, disclosure into dialogue, and hindsight into foresight.

We believe the future of corporate reporting is not about disclosing more. It is about enabling stakeholders to understand better, anticipate better and make better-informed decisions.”

Saranga Wijayarathne, EVP/Chief Digital Innovation at Softlogic Life, added:

“Our objective was to create an Annual Report experience that adapts to how different stakeholders now consume and use information.

Lifey enables natural-language and voice interaction across more than 70 languages, while the Adaptive Intelligence Engine allows users to control the perspective, content, depth, style, language and output format of the information they receive.

Our audio and sentiment capabilities further strengthen accessibility and participation.

By connecting these features with verified sources, predictive insights, transparent environmental-impact information and responsible AI safeguards, we are demonstrating how purpose-driven innovation can make corporate reporting more useful, inclusive and future-ready.”

Softlogic Life’s innovation and brand strength continue to receive industry-wide recognition.

In addition to its achievements at the CA TAGS Awards, the Company secured Gold for Insurance Overall Excellence in Integrated Reporting at the CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards, alongside four other main-category accolades.

Further recognition includes Gold for Service Brand of the Year at the SLIM Brand Excellence Awards 2025, as well as the distinction of being the only Sri Lankan company to win AI Initiative of the Year at the 29th Insurance Industry Awards 2025.

These achievements reinforce Softlogic Life’s position as a progressive, technology-led insurer.
