Union Assurance Appoints Senath Jayatilake to Board of Directors

Union Assurance announced the appointment of its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Senath Jayatilake, to the Union Assurance Board of Directors as an Executive Director, effective 23rd February 2026.

The appointment has been approved by the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka.

Mr. Jayatilake is currently an Executive Vice President of the John Keells Group.

He joined Union Assurance in 2019 and initially served as the Chief Distribution Officer overseeing the Agency and Corporate Distribution verticals of the business.

He was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2023 and subsequently appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective 1st January 2024.

Prior to joining Union Assurance, Mr. Jayatilake served as the Chief Executive Officer of John Keells Logistics (Pvt) Ltd.

Union Assurance PLC is licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL).
