F1 The Movie Races into Scope Cinemas with Sri Lankas Biggest Hollywood Red Carpet Premiere

F1 The Movie, the high-octane film from Apple Original Films and Warner Bros. Pictures, had its red-carpet premiere hosted by Liberty Lands, the official local movie importer, and Scope Cinemas at a landmark venue: the Atrium of Havelock City Mall.

This marks Sri Lanka’s first-ever red-carpet film event held inside a shopping mall atrium, drawing in elite guests and media for a night that celebrated both Hollywood glamour and Formula 1 adrenaline.

The pre-screening event transformed the Havelock City Mall Atrium into a full-throttle tribute to the racing world, followed by an exclusive IMAX screening at Scope Cinemas Multiplex.

Guests were treated to a night of high fashion and immersive entertainment, reflecting the cinematic intensity of the film.

In attendance were corporate leaders, actors and models, media personalities, diplomats, local film distributors, fashion designers, car racers, and acclaimed movie directors — all gathered under one roof to celebrate the local premiere of this global blockbuster.

“This red-carpet premiere is more than just a screening—it’s a celebration of cinema and culture.

Scope Cinemas is proud to once again elevate the standard of moviegoing in Sri Lanka,” said Naveed Cader, Chairman of Scope Cinemas.

“Our goal has always been to create experiential, unforgettable moments for moviegoers.

With F1 The Movie, we’re not just showing a film—we’re bringing Hollywood to Sri Lanka,” added Chassy Cortes, Head of Marketing & PR, Scope Cinemas.

“Sri Lanka has tremendous untapped potential as a box office market.

It’s encouraging to see events like these now being held in Colombo—once reserved only for major global cities.

This is a proud moment for all of us in the industry,” said Daniela Nobile, Representative of Warner Bros.

With real Grand Prix race footage, pulse-pounding drama, and a star-studded cast including Kerry Condon and Tobias Menzies, F1 The Movie is set to be a global box office phenomenon.
