Forbes Marshall Lanka Wins Gold Flame at Sri Lanka National Energy Efficiency Awards 2025
Forbes Marshall Lanka, the market leader in steam engineering and energy conservation solutions in Sri Lanka, has won the Gold Flame in the Energy Efficiency Improvement category of the Best Energy Services Company Award at the Sri Lanka National Energy Efficiency Awards 2025.
The awards ceremony was held on 24 February 2026 at BMICH Colombo, organised by the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority under the Ministry of Power and Energy.
Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, the chief guest, noted that reducing energy waste is a national economic priority, not merely a matter of limiting consumption.
Loshan Palayangoda, Country Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives, Forbes Marshall Lanka, said:
"This recognition belongs to our clients and our team in equal measure.
Energy efficiency is not a one-time project.
It is a discipline, and one that Sri Lankan industry is embracing with growing seriousness.
We are proud to be a trusted partner in that journey, and this award is an encouragement to do more."
Across its Sri Lanka operations, Forbes Marshall Lanka has conducted over 500 walkthrough audits, four investment grade audits, and more than 20 energy saving implementations, while training over 500 engineers through its steam lab network.
The company’s interventions have contributed to firewood and biomass savings over 25,000 million yards and furnace oil savings nearing 10 million litres.
Its proprietary Steam System Scorecard evaluates plant performance against a 100-point benchmark; with the industry average at 70 percent, Forbes Marshall Lanka sees each client engagement as an opportunity to close that gap.
This Gold Award builds on the company’s 2018 win in the same category, reflecting a sustained, long-term commitment to industrial energy efficiency rather than a singular achievement.
