Qatar Airways announced codeshare with SriLankan Airlines

Qatar Airways has entered into a codeshare agreement with SriLankan Airlines on flights between Colombo and Doha.

The codeshare will be applied to Qatar Airways’ thrice daily flights to Colombo, and SriLankan Airline’s daily flight to Doha.

Through the codeshare, passengers will be offered more connectivity, with passengers flying to Colombo being able to continue to Male in the Maldives, and passengers flying to Doha being able to continue to around 20 further destinations.

Passengers will also benefit from collecting frequent flyer miles, and Oneworld alliance privileges such as spacious lounges, extra baggage allowances and priority check-in and boarding.

“This new partnership will allow passengers to enjoy the seamless connectivity that Qatar Airways offers via Doha to our wide network across the globe,” said Qatar Airways Group chief executive, Akbar Al Baker.
