Varun Beverages Lanka (Pvt) Ltd has forged strategic alliances with Cleantech Pvt Ltd Recyclers and Neptune Recyclers to strengthen Sri Lanka’s PET plastic recycling ecosystem and advance large-scale circularity across the country.

Working hand in hand with Cleantech Pvt Ltd Recyclers, Varun Beverages Lanka supports capacity-building through targeted investment in machinery and infrastructure, enabling more efficient collection, sorting and processing of post-consumer PET bottles into high-quality recyclate.

In parallel, the company collaborates closely with Neptune Recyclers, marking the beginning of VBLL’s recycling journey through the establishment of a new Material Recovery Facility (MRF).

This partnership strengthens PET recovery and recycling operations by creating a reliable pathway for used PET bottles to be collected from communities, responsibly processed, and reintroduced into the value chain as valuable raw material.

Together, these partnerships reaffirm Varun Beverages Lanka’s commitment to responsible plastic stewardship, reinforce its regional objectives on PET recovery and recycled content in beverage packaging, and position all three organizations as key private-sector contributors to Sri Lanka’s broader sustainability and Extended Producer Responsibility goals.
