This initiative has already delivered results, with the school’s hockey team proudly lifting the Girls’ Gold Medal at the recently concluded All-Island School Games Hockey Championships organized by the Ministry of Education in Colombo.
To celebrate this remarkable victory, Vision Care organized a special felicitation ceremony for the hockey team and presented them with gifts in recognition of their hard work and outstanding performance.
Janadhipathi Balika Vidyalaya has a proud history of producing talented athletes and has consistently performed well at school-level tournaments, despite facing challenges such as limited resources and facilities.

In addition to supporting sports development, Vision Care also distributed the ‘Vision Care Eye Screening and Educational Toolkit’ to the school.
This initiative enables students to undergo basic eye screening, provides valuable education on eye health, and promotes clear vision as a foundation for academic success and athletic performance.
Vision Care hopes to continue supporting Janadhipathi Balika Vidyalaya in its future hockey, sporting, and health development efforts, while also extending similar programs to other schools across the country.
