Body Doc Fitness Wellness Pavilion Marks Eight Years of Transformative Growth and Innovation

Colombo, Sri Lanka, … Body Doc Fitness & Wellness Pavilion, Sri Lanka’s first and only medically driven fitness and wellness center, recently celebrated its eighth anniversary with a special event held at Montana View, the rooftop venue of Amaryllis by Body Doc in Malabe.

Established on August 14, 2017, Body Doc has redefined the health and wellness landscape in Sri Lanka by integrating medical expertise with modern fitness practices.

Today, the Pavilion spans 50,000 square feet, featuring state-of-the-art equipment from leading global brands including Cybex, Hammer Strength, Life Fitness, VersaClimber, and Concept2.

As a holistic wellness destination, Body Doc provides medical consultations, diagnostic and laboratory services, a pharmacy, nutrition and dietary programs, and tailored lifestyle coaching.

Members also benefit from a wide range of group classes and personalized programs such as yoga, Zumba, strength training, weight management, and rehabilitation for chronic conditions.

Its team of doctors, nutritionists, and certified fitness professionals continues to pioneer the philosophy of “exercise as medicine and nutrition as therapy,” offering Sri Lankans a proactive and preventive approach to healthcare.

Beyond its medical and fitness portfolio, Body Doc also serves as a versatile lifestyle hub, offering luxury venues for dining, weddings, corporate functions, and community events.

Reflecting on the Pavilion’s journey, Dr. Thanuki Thivanka Ranatunga Idangodage, Founder & Chairperson, said:

“When I founded Body Doc in 2017, my vision was to bridge the gap between medicine and movement, creating a space where prevention takes precedence over cure.

Over the past eight years, despite global and local challenges, we have proven that a medically supervised, lifestyle-based approach can transform lives.

This milestone is not only a celebration of our growth but also a reaffirmation of our mission to empower Sri Lankans to live healthier, stronger, and more resilient lives.”

The anniversary event featured a photo exhibition chronicling Body Doc’s evolution from its humble beginnings to its present stature as a benchmark in wellness innovation.

Looking ahead, Body Doc plans to expand specialist medical and wellness services, introduce new programs, and strengthen community engagement, continuing its commitment to sustainable growth and leadership in the healthcare and fitness sectors.
