MAS Secures Multiple Wins at the 2025 Presidential Environmental Awards

Global apparel-tech conglomerate MAS Holdings emerged as one of the most lauded organisations at the recently concluded Presidential Environmental Awards 2025, securing multiple honours across the apparel and textile sector.

Organised by the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) under the patronage of His Excellency President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the awards celebrate public and private institutions that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable industrial practices.

MAS was among the most awarded organisations this year, with multiple business units recognised for their leadership in environmental performance and compliance.

In the Textile and Textile Processing Industry category (Type A & B), MAS Active Linea Intimo received the Gold Award, MAS Kreeda Vaanavil earned Silver, and Silueta received Bronze.

Within the Apparel Industry category (Type A & B), MAS
Kreeda Shadeline and MAS Intimates Thurulie were awarded Silver, MAS Active Contourline received Bronze, and MAS Kreeda Balangoda was presented with a Merit Award.

Evaluations were carried out under the Central Environmental Authority’s Environmental Protection Licence (EPL) framework, which classifies industries according to their potential environmental impact.

Type A and B industries are identified as higher-impact categories and are therefore subject to stricter compliance requirements.

The framework aims to ensure that large-scale industrial facilities operate within nationally defined environmental parameters.

These achievements are closely aligned with the Group’s sustainability commitments outlined in its Plan for Change framework, which sets out clear goals to reduce emissions, strengthen resource efficiency, and promote circular manufacturing.

MAS recently launched the Plan for Change 2030, a renewed five-year roadmap that builds on the progress of its previous commitments while setting refreshed targets across the pillars of Product, Lives and Planet.

Held annually, the Presidential Environmental Awards are among Sri Lanka’s highest recognitions for environmental performance across public and private sectors.

For MAS, the 2025 awards represent another step in a long-term journey toward embedding sustainability at the core of business, reinforcing the Group’s commitment to responsible growth and national development.
