Roar Global’s BrandRadar releases Sri Lanka’s broadest AI visibility study

The three-month study across six industries and 198 brands reveals how AI platforms reward editorial authority over ad spend, while exposing sharp inconsistencies even among market leaders.

Colombo, Sri Lanka: BrandRadar, the AI Search growth consultancy and intelligence platform under Roar Global, recently released The State of AI Visibility in Sri Lanka 2026, the country’s broadest index tracking how brands are named, surfaced and recommended by leading AI platforms including ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Perplexity.

The report analyses 198 brands across 18 market segments, covering six industries including automotive, hospitality, financial services, real estate and retail.

Conducted over March, April and May 2026, the study provides one of the most comprehensive local views into how brand discovery is being reshaped by AI-led search and recommendation systems.

The report follows BrandRadar’s unveiling at Roar Global’s inaugural AI Visibility Summit in Colombo earlier this year, where the company introduced its proposition around helping brands understand, improve and sustain visibility across AI-driven discovery environments.

Commenting on the release, Mustafa Kassim, Founder and CEO of Roar Global, said,

“This report reflects the kind of market intelligence Roar Global aims to create.

As a venture builder operating across platforms, AI infrastructure and enterprise solutions, we are looking at a bigger question: how do brands get discovered when discovery is no longer limited to search engines, social platforms or paid media? BrandRadar sits within that wider strategic bet.

AI is not just another marketing or content tool; it is becoming a layer around which businesses will need to build visibility, trust and growth.”

Among the report’s key findings, Toyota and BYD maintained near-perfect consistency across all three AI platforms, scoring above 89 every month with less than three points of variance.

By contrast, several well-known brands showed sharp differences between platforms.

Ceylinco General Insurance, for instance, scored 89.75 on Gemini but just 12.5 on Perplexity in the same month, indicating how a brand can be highly visible on one AI system while remaining functionally invisible on another.

According to the report, editorial authority and third-party citations were among the strongest predictors of AI visibility across every industry studied, highlighting the growing importance of credible public information, structured content strategy and sustained digital authority.

Prash Balakrishnan, Chief Commercial Officer of Roar Global, said,

“The report is the result of ongoing research and product development by the BrandRadar team over the past year.

Our focus has been to build an AI search growth solution that is both technically robust and commercially meaningful for brand owners.

As AI-led discovery continues to evolve, businesses need a clearer understanding of where they are visible, where they are absent, and what actions can improve their authority across these platforms.

BrandRadar is already supporting brands across multiple industries to make that shift.”

Afrah Fazlulhaq, Content Strategist at BrandRadar and co-author of the visibility index, added,

“What we have consistently seen across the brands we work with is that AI visibility is earned through sustained authority and trust, not temporary ranking gains.

The brands that remain visible are the brands that remain relevant, credible and consistently present across the right sources.”
